On March 14, 2025, the Planting Management Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the National Agricultural Technology Extension and Service Center jointly issued the "Technical Guidelines for Spring Vegetable Production in Northern China in 2025", which puts forward technical guidelines for spring vegetable production in northern China based on current meteorological conditions and the characteristics of spring vegetable production in northern China.
I. Water and Fertilizer Management for Protected Vegetables. For overwintering vegetables, fertilization should adhere to the principle of small amounts and multiple applications. Microbial agents, humic acid water-soluble fertilizers, and organic water-soluble fertilizers should be applied appropriately, paying attention to supplementing calcium and boron fertilizers.
II. Disaster Response for Open-Field Vegetables. For vegetables suffering from mild frost damage or low-temperature cold damage, foliar application of amino acids, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, and other foliar fertilizers can be used, along with the application of humic acid and alginate root-promoting fertilizers to promote the rapid recovery of plant growth.
